History of Seekmaster

Seekmaster is not a brand new idea. There were others before it. The one that started it all was the Exploseek redirection engine. A lot of people brought contributions to that one – and I hope there will be some people willing to bring contributions to Seekmaster itself, as Seekmaster is what I’d like to call the next level in Google / Multi-engine tweaking.

When it started, in 2007, Seekmaster was designed as software under Windows OS (98 to Vista) – as a matter of fact it was designed as a program that would offer a lot of search options (the so-called “search categories”) and would open up the results in an Internet browser window.

-         Main search engines used: Google, Yahoo / Alltheweb

-         Opens default browser installed on the system

-         Known bugs: incompatible with portable browsers

Seekmaster 1.1

-         22 search categories (added Software, Games, Internet archives, Discussion forums)
